Directions for Finisher's Formula
Finisher's Formula was developed to be both a polish and a feeder. When a piece of furniture is dry or has been neglected for years it usually needs to be fed. Make sure that your piece of furniture is clean, Murphy’s Oil Soap works great on most pieces. Always test in an unseen portion on the furniture to make sure that it does not dissolve the finish, do this with all cleaners. Avoid aerosol cleaners as they have silicates in them and tend to spot some finishes. After your piece is clean and dry to the touch apply Finisher's Formula with a soft cloth, terry cloths work great. Make two cloths, use one to apply and one to wipe off. Apply Finisher's Formula to your cloth and wipe liberally when feeding your wood,
antique or leather. Then take your dry cloth and wipe it off. Put the cloth that you applied the polish with in a zip lock bag for future use as a treated beeswax dusting cloth. Use Finisher's Formula monthly to develop a warm glow on your heirlooms. Always feed before the cold and before the heat each year. This a seasonal change in the climate and can alter the appearance and integrity of your heirloom.Directions for Finisher's Touch
Finisher's Touch was developed to compliment Finisher's Touch polish and feeder, you can use both on your wood, antique furniture or leather. If using both products, first apply Finisher's Formula using the directions for Finisher Formula. Then after you have applied Finisher's Formula wipe dry and then apply Finisher's Touch. Because of the wax proportions in Finishers Touch are greater the harder you buff the greater the sheen. If you are using Finisher's Touch without Finisher's Formula, apply Finisher's Touch with a soft cloth and rub with the grain. You can use circular motions or figure 8 motion to apply. Next take a clean lint free cloth and buff. Remember because Finisher's Touch is a paste wax the harder you buff the greater the sheen. This happens because you are creating heat by friction and it buffs the wax on to your heirloom with a higher degree of sheen. Finisher's Touch can be applied over previously waxed furniture, generally found on English antiques.
Caution: Both of these products can be habit forming to use, resulting in great looking heirloom furniture! Finisher’s Formula and Finisher’s touch are both non- toxic and solvent free which make them wonderful for people with chemical sensitivities. They are environmentally safe.
